RI State Police Arrested a Client for DUI and Breathalyzer Refusal

Police Report:
RI State Police on routine patrol see client’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic without using a turn signal on route 95 south. Upon stopping client’s car and approaching the driver’s side window troopers immediately detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, blood shot and watery eyes and mumbled speech. Client takes and fails 3 field sobriety tests and refuses to take the preliminary breath test. Client refuses the breathalyzer when he is taken to the barracks. All of this is captured on the state police body cam.
Case Result:
DUI CHARGES: DISMISSED AND EXPUNGED OFF RECORD WITH NO LOSS OF LICENSE
BREATHALYZER REFUSAL CHARGES: NOT GUILTY AFTER A TRIAL AND NO LOSS OF LICENSE
